Piattaforma della Danza Balinese
The Balinese Dance Platform is a temporary project dedicated to the research and practice of contemporary choreography. It is organized by three Italian artistic realities,
Le Supplici, MK, Cristina Rizzo, born thanks to the partnership with Santacangelo. Festival Internazionale del Teatro in Piazza.
This platform was born of a powerul question and a burning desire, dealing with the 'here and now' and the 'elsewhere'.
Does my work belong to this place?
The answer is yes: my work dialogues with the landscape.
The answer is no: this place is just a place to cross, because I've already been here.
The Balinese is the glance of an impromptu ensemble of artist who turn simultaneously in the same direction rather than an exotic picture or the evocation of another world.
Maybe we just need to take a shot together, produce an unlikely collection of stamps and inaugurate something every day.
As an unexpected climate change, Balinese fits and affects the normal calendar of a Festival, with a concentration of choreographic objects and a series of parallel activities that occur immediately before or after the natural course of events. It settles on something existing to disperse, digest, trivialize, embellish, crush, confuse, clarify, reiterate, repeat, evaporate, leave any speech.
Balinese Dance Platform is an attempt to produce an abstruse and amazing protocol, that wants to absorb any form that can produce a space for its beginning, without bordering. It's a continuous ribbon.cutting ceremony for a Consulate that doesn't exist.
It is in the first place a way of doing a project through immediate exchange between artists, and between artists and a festival then, in order to experience geopolitically the living room of reality.
